Q. What is Wii Rent?
A. Wii Rent is a San Diego based company, focused on excellent customer experience, that rents Wii consoles, controllers, accessories and audio/video equipment by the day and weekend, operated by Carben Creations LLC.

Q. Why should I rent a Wii?
A. The interactive gaming with the Nintendo Wii provides hours of fun for both small and large groups; it's an excellent way to break the ice! Among other gatherings, the Wii is great for the following events:

  • Corporate events and team building
  • Office parties
  • Trade shows
  • Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Wii Sports and other Tournaments and Competitions
  • 'Wii nights' at bars
  • Child and adult birthday parties
  • Weddings, anniversaries, and celebrations
  • Guys' or girls' night in
  • Bachelor and bachelorette parties
  • Wii trialling - try before you buy your own Wii or Wii equipment, such as the Wii Balance Board (Wii Fit)
Renting a Wii and accessories will save you considerable money compared to purchasing your own equipment for a special event. Each Wii Rent Package is designed for up to four simultaneous players in mind. At $45 per day for the Sports Package which includes five different games, this package calculates to less than $12 per person for 24 hours of Wii entertainment. This is excellent value for money when the purchase price of the Sports Package rental equipment would cost over $330 new.

Wii Rent Pricing and Policies

Q. How much is it to rent a Wii?
A. Our Sports Package is as low as $45 per day! Please see the Wii Rental Equipment Page for full details of Packages and pricing.

Q. How old do I have to be to rent a Wii?
A. The minimum age of the renter is 21.

Q. How do I rent a Wii Package and equipment from Wii Rent?
A. Please fill out the Reservation Request Form on the Reservation Page, then Wii Rent will contact you to organize your reservation. Once all rental details are confirmed Wii Rent will send you an invoice to reserve the rental equipment.

Q. Which payment methods does Wii Rent accept?
A. Currently Wii Rent accepts payments through Google Checkout and Paypal. Once a Wii Rent client has decided upon the reservation details, such as packages/equipment needed, rental commencement date and duration, Wii Rent will email the client an invoice and Google Checkout/Paypal payment link. Via Google Checkout/Paypal, customers can use Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express.

Q. Will I need to pay a deposit to reserve rental equipment?
A. If a rental is planned for more than seven days in the future, Wii Rent may request the client to pay a non-refundable deposit to hold the reservation. The remaining balance will be paid to Wii Rent in the week leading up to the reservation. The balance must be paid in full before the rental may commence.

Q. What is Wii Rent's Cancellation policy?
A. Any deposits to hold a reservation are non-refundable. The client may cancel their reservation up till 24 hours before the reservation without penalty, other than loss of the deposit if applicable. Within 24 hours a reservation cancellation will result in a 50% charge of the rental/service cost.

Q. Does Wii Rent require a rental equipment security deposit?
A. Wii Rent's preferred payment method through Google Checkout allows Wii Rent to authorize an additional sum that will act as an equipment security deposit. This additional authorized amount will only be charged to the client's credit card should rental equipment become lost or damaged during a rental to cover the cost of equipment repair or replacement. If payment is to be made via Paypal, a refundable equipment security deposit will be collected at the same time as the rental payment, and will be refunded by Wii Rent via Paypal after the rental has ended pending equipment inspection.

Q. Is there a minimum duration to rent with Wii Rent?
A. Yes. For all packages the minimum duration for a rental is two hours. The daily rate for the Wii Package, accessory or other equipment will apply.

Q. What should I do if I'm renting out a Wii Package and during the rental I decide I wish to rent for a longer duration than I originally requested? For example, I originally requested a 1 day rental, but while renting I decide I wish to rent for a total of 2 days.
A. Please call Wii Rent (619) 940-7368 soon as possible to arrange the additional rental period. Failure to inform Wii Rent before the end of your agreed rental period may result in additional charges on top of the extra time period you wish to rent the Wii Package for. The security deposit may not be used to cover additional required time.

Q. If I damage my own equipment (such as my TV) whilst playing the Wii I have rented from Wii Rent, is Wii Rent liable?
A. No. The renter and any people that the renter invites to use the rental equipment must follow the Wii on-screen advisories to use Wii Remote wrist-straps and other safety equipment where applicable. Q. Can the Wii Package be delivered to my house, party, or event?
A. Yes - "Wii Deliver!". Wii Rent can deliver the selected Wii Package(s) and equipment to your event within a 30 mile radius of Downtown San Diego (Zip Code 92101). Please visit the Wii Rent Services section for more details on delivery pricing.

Q. Does Wii Rent provide assistance in setting up the Wii and associated equipment?
A. Wii Rent can provide staff to fully manage the set-up of the Wii and equipment, and on-site assistance with the controllers and games. Please see the Wii Rent Services section for pricing.

Q. Will Wii Rent ship equipment to me? I am located outside of San Diego.
A. Wii Rent is able to accommodate clients outside of San Diego who meet the criteria set out in the Wii Rent Shipping Policy.

Wii Rent has designed the Wii Ship Package to allow non-San Diego clients to rent Wii Consoles from Wii Rent.

With a dedicated shipping option available, the Wii Rock and the Wii Custom Packages are not available for rental for clients outside of San Diego. Wii Rent is unable to ship display equipment such as projectors or screens, but can consider Wii accessories such as Balance Boards and Instruments with additional shipping fees.

Wii Rent can supply multiple Wii Ship Packages.

Please note there is a minimum rental charge associated with the Wii Ship Package rental. This minimum charge is to cover the rental equipment time spent in transit while the equipment is unavailable to be rented by other Wii Rent clients. Q. I would like to buy a Nintendo Wii. Does Wii Rent sell Wii Consoles and equipment?
A. Wii Rent is currently not selling Wii Consoles or Wii related equipment or accessories.

Wii Rental Procedures

Q. Will I have to sign a rental agreement with Wii Rent?
A. Yes. On equipment delivery by Wii Rent, Wii Rent will require the renter to sign the Wii Rent Equipment Rental Agreement. A sample copy of the Wii Rent Equipment Rental Agreement can be viewed here.

Q. Can I pick up the rental equipment?
A. Rental equipment pick-up is currently unavailable. Please see the Wii Rent delivery FAQ.

Q. Is there a grace period at the end of my rental period?
A. Yes. The grace period to have the equipment returned is 60 minutes after the rental period has ended. Additional rental charges will apply after the grace period.

Q. What is the rental equipment return procedure?
A. To ensure rental equipment is returned to Wii Rent in the condition it was provided in, and to account for any equipment damage or loss, the renter has two options available: 1) On returning the rental equipment, the renter may observe as Wii Rent staff checks the equipment to ensure all equipment is accounted for, and is working correctly. Should all equipment be accounted for and working correctly, the renter's security deposit will be immediately refunded in full via Paypal (if applicable). If applicable, an invoice to cover lost and/or damaged equipment will presented to the renter. By default the renters deposit will be used to cover the cost of the lost and/or damaged equipment.
2) Alternatively, the renter may return the rental equipment together with a signed Equipment Return Form. The form will allow the renter to confirm all equipment is accounted for and working correctly. By utilizing this option, the renter need not be present while the Wii Rent staff checks the equipment. Should the Wii Rent staff check the equipment and discover any loss and/or damage to the rental equipment, Wii Rent will refund the renters security deposit less any replacement/repair costs (if applicable).

Rental Equipment

Q. If I rent a Wii Package from Wii Rent, what other equipment will I need?
A. You'll only need a TV and power for the Wii Console. For best picture quality and Wii gaming experience, Wii Rent recommends a minimum television size of 32". A HD capable TV is not required; the Wii will use Standard Definition quality. Please make sure your television is located where you intend to have the Wii gaming session, and has adequate space around it for Wii players and spectators.

Q. This is my first time using a Nintendo Wii. How do I set it up?
A. Please refer to the online Nintendo Wii Manuals available here.
Wii Rent recommends that you refer to these manuals before your Wii Rent rental to maximize your rental time.

Q. Where can I obtain the manuals for the Wii games supplied as part of the packages?
A. Many game manuals can be obtained online at Nintendo's website.

Q. Are batteries supplied by Wii Rent for the Wii Remotes and other Wii Rent equipment?
A. Rechargeable batteries are supplied by Wii Rent for all Wii Rent provided devices and Wii Rent strongly recommends customers rent the optional 15-minute rapid battery charger as well. Rental customers must only recharge the supplied batteries using the recharging equipment available from Wii Rent. Rental customers are welcomed to use their own batteries should the supplied batteries discharge. The rechargeable batteries supplied by Wii Rent must be returned at the end of the rental period.

For Wii Ship Package rentals, the client has the option of Wii Rent supplying 'AA' batteries for Wii Remotes, or providing their own.

Q. What should I do if the Wii or any components stop working during the rental period?
A. First, please consult the Wii Operations Manual, which can be located here.
Nintendo also has published a Wii troubleshooting web page, which can be located here.
Should a review of the Wii Operations Manual and troubleshooting web page not resolve the problem, please call Wii Rent (619) 940-7368 who will assist in troubleshooting the issue.

Q. What if I am interested in a playing a game that is not listed in the Rental Packages?
A. Please get in contact with your request. Wii Rent is always expanding its game and accessory collection.

Q. Does Wii Rent rent out individual Wii games?
A. Wii Rent does not rent out individual Wii games. The free use of Wii games are only available as part of the Rental Packages as listed.

Q. I have a Wii already and would like to try out the Wii Fit game and Balance Board. Will Wii Rent rent these items separately?
A. Yes. Please get in contact with Wii Rent with your request.

Q. I have my own TV. Do I need Wii Rent's projector and screen as well?
A. No, you do not need Wii Rent's projector and screen but the Wii Rent's projector, stand, screen and speakers will suit renters without an accessible TV and is especially suitable for large gatherings, corporate and outdoor events. Please see the Wii Rent Audio-Video section for details.

Q. How large is the Wii Rent supplied screen?
A. The screen supplied by Wii Rent is 85" (diagonal).

Q. I need to rent more than two projectors and screens. Can Wii Rent supply greater than two?
A. Wii Rent currently has two (total) projectors and screens available for rental. Wii Rent's focus is renting Nintendo Wii Consoles and associated Wii accessories. Many audio-video rental companies will rent multiple projectors/televisions/screens should you need more than two. Please contact your local audio-video rental companies for more information.

Q. I'd like to rent out more than one Wii Package at a time. Can Wii Rent accommodate that?
A. Wii Rent has multiple Wii Packages for simultaneous rental. Please get in contact with Wii Rent and detail what you are specifically looking for.
